Uluwatu Hale: Gladek 1 bedroom

The Gladek is a private, two-story one-bedroom villa within Uluwatu Hale, hand-crafted from reclaimed 1930s Javanese teak and locally sourced Bali stone. Large sliding windows blur the line between indoors and out, opening onto a wrap-around deck. Upstairs, the bedroom holds a plush 180cm x 200cm bed; downstairs, a kitchenette is stocked with a sink, fridge (yes, big enough for a full bag of ice — cocktail lovers welcome), microwave, electric kettle, French press, and coffee. The private, enclosed outdoor bathroom enhances the sense of being tucked away in nature. Step outside to your own small plunge pool — saltwater, with a waterfall feature — for a quiet soak any time of day. The Gladek shares a driveway and entrance with the neighboring main house and comfortably accommodates up to 2 adults (children under 12 do not count toward this limit). Guests enjoy ocean horizon glimpses through the surrounding trees and beautiful sunsets from the upstairs room. Just steps away, guests can walk to Uluwatu Surf Villa — one of Uluwatu's most exclusive resorts — for their renowned Morning Light Yoga, or to Uluwatu's iconic left-point surf break. Mana Restaurant and Move 360 gym are a short walk away, with Istana Wellness Center a few properties down.

Many of Uluwatu's best spots are an easy walk from the villa. For destinations further afield, Gojek and Grab (Bali's local ride-hailing apps) are the easiest way to book a moped or car pick-up on demand. If you'd prefer not to drive yourself, a personal driver can be arranged for day excursions at an additional charge — just let us know what you'd like to see and we'll help plan it. Moped rental is also available to arrange directly with us for the length of your stay.

Uluwatu Hale sits at the end of a dead-end street, down stairs, built into the hillside — quiet and secluded, yet close to everything Uluwatu has to offer. The property is adjacent to USV, one of the area's most exclusive resorts, where guests can join the renowned Morning Light Yoga. A short walk brings you to Mana Restaurant and Move 360 gym, with Istana Wellness Center just a few properties down. Uluwatu's famous left-point surf break is also within walking distance — perfect for catching a session or watching the sunset over the waves.
